OllantaytamboPeru

The image presents a vertical view of a rugged, stratified mountain face located on Tunupa mountain, overlooking the city of Ollantaytambo, Peru. The rock face is predominantly light brown and gray, heavily fractured with numerous fissures, ledges, and darker mineral staining. In the upper-middle section, a prominent anthropomorphic carving, identified as the "Face of Viracocha" or "Tunupa," is clearly visible, depicting a detailed profile with defined eyes, nose, and mouth, oriented horizontally. To its left and slightly lower, additional less distinct carved or naturally eroded formations are present. Further left and higher, another cruder face-like formation appears to look right. Sparse patches of light green, succulent-like vegetation cling to various crevices and ledges across the rock face, particularly in the lower and mid-sections. The base of the mountain is obscured by a dense, vibrant green canopy of trees and shrubs, indicating lush vegetation at the lower elevation. No individuals, animals, or man-made objects are present in the scene. The lighting is diffuse, highlighting the rock's textured surface.
