PlevenBulgaria

The scene depicts a public square in Pleven, Bulgaria, dominated by the St. George the Conqueror Chapel Mausoleum under an overcast sky. The mausoleum is a large, multi-domed structure featuring a prominent teal-green main dome and smaller subsidiary domes. Its facade is characterized by alternating horizontal bands of light-colored stone and reddish-brown brick, with multiple arched recesses. In the mid-ground, a substantial crowd of people, many dressed in dark winter clothing, occupies the paved plaza directly in front of the mausoleum. Several white and green flags are visible among this gathering, primarily towards the center-left. A paved walkway runs diagonally across the foreground, separating a grassy strip on the left from the main plaza. On this walkway, four individuals are prominently visible: two women in the mid-foreground, one in a light coat and the other in a green coat, are walking away from the viewer. Closer to the right foreground, two men in dark jackets are walking towards the right; one is talking on a mobile phone held to his ear, and the other is looking down at a mobile phone. Bare deciduous trees, indicating a cold season, frame the scene on the left and right, with other urban buildings faintly visible in the background to the left of the mausoleum.
