An outdoor scene in a-Zawayda, Palestinian Territory, depicts a temporary settlement under a partly cloudy sky with prominent sunlight from the upper right. The foreground and mid-ground consist of light brown sand, showing numerous footprints. A dark-colored, possibly metal, utility pole stands diagonally in the foreground, extending upwards and to the right, with dark wires strung across the upper portion of the frame. A second, similar pole is visible further back, supporting the wires. The central and background areas are occupied by multiple rows of white or light-colored canvas tents, varying in size and apparent construction, indicative of a displacement camp. Palm trees are densely clustered behind the tents, especially along the horizon line on both the left and right sides of the image. Between the rows of tents, a pathway of sand is visible. In the mid-ground, approximately ten red, rectangular objects, resembling large bags or containers, are lined up on the sand, extending from the left towards the center. On the right side of the mid-ground, a single individual, dressed in dark clothing (dark jacket, dark pants), stands facing away from the camera, next to another similar red object. Clothes are visibly hanging to dry on a line outside a tent further back on the right. White sacks or bundles are visible on the ground near the entrance of a tent on the far left. Shadows from the poles, tents, and the individual are cast towards the left and foreground, consistent with the sun's position.
