An upward-angled view captures a Parisian street scene dominated by building facades under an overcast sky

ParisFrance

An upward-angled view captures a Parisian street scene dominated by building facades under an overcast sky. The location is the 4th Arrondissement of Paris, France, identified by a dark green street sign stating "PARVIS DES 260 ENFANTS," commemorating students of "L'ÉCOLE DES HOSPITALIÈRES SAINT-GERVAIS / DÉPORTÉS ET ASSASSINÉS / PARCE QU'ILS ÉTAIENT NÉS JUIFS." The central focus is a large mural on the light-colored stone corner of a building, depicting a dark blue silhouette of a human head in profile, facing left. This silhouette is set against a background of radiating blue and light blue rays. The facial area within the silhouette is textured with numerous small, light-colored, irregular objects, possibly shells or ceramic pieces, with two distinct, smaller, white sculpted human faces embedded near the eye and cheek. French text is painted on the mural: "NOUS AVONS TOUS GRANDI DANS LE CORPS D'UNE FEMME" (We all grew up in the body of a woman) is partially visible on the left, and "JOURNÉE DES FEMMES / 08 MARS 2014" (Women's Day / March 08, 2014) is visible below the head. To the left of the mural, an adjacent building with a grey stucco or plaster facade features two windows. The upper window has closed, white louvered shutters. The lower window has open, white louvered shutters and a small, black wrought-iron balcony railing. Above these buildings, various white and grey rooflines and architectural elements are visible, including a distinct white structure with a small square opening. Several pigeons are perched on the dark metal ledges and roofs of the buildings, particularly above the mural. Below the mural, a red circular "no entry" sign with a white horizontal bar is partially visible on a black pole. A small, yellow, cylindrical object, possibly a spray can, is secured with grey duct tape to the stone wall above the street sign.
