The image depicts an outdoor urban scene on a paved sidewalk on Ulitsa Georgi S

SofiaBulgaria

The image depicts an outdoor urban scene on a paved sidewalk on Ulitsa Georgi S. Rakovski (Georgi S. Rakovski Street) in Sofia, Bulgaria. The weather is overcast, and the season is early spring, indicated by deciduous trees with bare branches and newly forming buds framing the top of the image. Approximately 15-20 individuals, mostly young adults, are present on the sidewalk. The majority are dressed in dark, casual winter or spring outerwear, including puffer jackets and hoodies. Dense plumes of colored smoke, predominantly red and blue, emanate from the central area of the gathering. One person, positioned center-right, is actively holding a red smoke flare aloft with their right hand, generating the red smoke. To the left of the red smoke, a male subject in a dark jacket is smiling while holding a dark bottle. Another male subject in a blue puffer jacket is seen from behind, moving through the smoke. On the far right, a group of individuals stands near a low, white and stone-faced wall. A white drum is partially visible near the source of the red flare. In the background, a blue and white tram is partially visible on the street, moving right to left. Overhead electrical wires for public transport are present across the upper-middle section of the image. Multi-story, older architectural style buildings line the street beyond the tram. Urban infrastructure elements include a streetlight pole with two luminaires, a green pedestrian traffic light, and a street sign displaying "Улица Георги С. Раковски" and "Спаси дете!" (Save the child!). The sidewalk is paved with grey interlocking concrete blocks, and scattered cigarette butts and small white paper debris are visible on its surface.
