The left and right walls of the stairwell are painted a uniform medium blue. The wall at the base of the staircase is composed of exposed, dark-toned stone masonry. The descending steps are tiled with light brown, square ceramic tiles. On the upper portion of the left blue wall, a black wrought-iron wall sconce with a cream-colored, bell-shaped lampshade is mounted, casting a soft glow onto the wall surface. Below this fixture, a black metal handrail extends along the left wall. Centered at the far end of the passageway, against the stone wall, is a rectangular window framed in dark wood.
