The foreground is framed by dark tree branches and green leaves at the top and left, with dry, brown grass and reddish-brown soil dominating the immediate lower foreground. The gully itself features steep, eroded walls displaying distinct layers of reddish-brown earth and lighter, almost white, sandy or clay-like material. The gully floor is broad and relatively flat, primarily composed of the light-toned material.
