In Yessentuki, Russia, the Semashko Mud Baths, a historical architectural monument, stands under a partly cloudy sky
MomentIn Yessentuki, Russia, the Semashko Mud Baths, a historical architectural monument, stands under a partly cloudy sky. The front of the building features a grand, classical facade with a triangular pediment supported by four substantial Corinthian columns. The inscription "ГРЯЗЕЛЕЧЕБНИЦА ИМ. Н.А. СЕМАШКО" (Mud Baths named after N.A. Semashko) is visible above the columns. Flanking the central structure are two symmetrical wings, constructed from rough-hewn stone blocks and topped with reddish-brown tiled roofs. At the corners of the wings, elevated on stone pedestals, are two large, weathered sculptures of seated male figures, one on each side, holding tools or implements. A wide, multi-tiered stone staircase leads up to the entrance of the building, with several flights of steps and landings. The steps appear aged and show signs of wear. Two individuals are walking on the first landing of the staircase, approaching the building from the right side. The ground in front of the staircase is paved with large stone slabs. The overall scene conveys a sense of historical grandeur and is situated in an outdoor environment.
