Stake attention in this memory
This is a vertical, medium-shot photograph of a hillside in Balerna, Switzerland, under a cloudy sky. The sky dominates the upper half of the frame, filled with an assortment of grey clouds, some wispy and streaky, others darker and more voluminous, with a hint of lighter sky peeking through in the center. The lower half of the image shows a densely vegetated hillside. In the foreground, the roof of a dark-tiled house is visible. Further up the hill, lush green trees and foliage obscure much of the landscape. Towards the middle ground, parts of buildings, possibly houses or villas, can be seen nestled amongst the trees. A tall, slender cypress tree stands out on the left side of the frame, its dark green foliage contrasting with the surrounding greenery. The overall impression is one of a natural landscape within an inhabited area, under an overcast sky.
