A Muscovy duck (Cairina moschata) stands in profile, facing left, on a surface of dry, sandy-brown dirt in Chiriguaná, Colombia. The duck exhibits dark, predominantly black plumage with an iridescent green sheen on its back and distinct white patches on its wings. Its neck and head are mottled black and white, and its face is characterized by prominent red caruncles around its eyes and a dark beak. Its webbed feet are grey.
