The scene depicts an outdoor grape drying operation in Bazar-e Panjva'i, Afghanistan. A male individual, appearing young with dark hair and a beard, wearing a light-colored tunic and trousers with a patterned cap, is seated barefoot on a white tarp in the foreground. He holds several light-colored, dried grapes in his right hand and looks directly forward.
