In Situm, Papua New Guinea, a narrow, shallow stream flows through a dense tropical forest. The stream features turbid, light brown water traversing a bed composed of reddish-brown soil, mud, and numerous dark, water-worn rocks. The left bank is steep and eroded, exposing soil, and is covered by lush green vegetation, including large ferns. The right bank also exhibits dense foliage with various green plants and some dried leaves. Dominating the background and left side are tall, dark green bamboo clumps. The stream bed contains significant natural debris, including numerous broken bamboo stalks and branches, particularly clustered towards the center-right. A small, white, possibly plastic object is visible amongst this debris. No individuals or human actions are present.
