The image displays a dark stone plaque with white Sinhala inscription, set within a concrete frame. Two circular emblems, each depicting a stylized sun, are carved into the top-left and bottom-left corners of the plaque. The background to the left shows green foliage, suggesting an outdoor setting, while the right side reveals a reddish-brown and gray cracked surface, possibly a wall or ground adjacent to the plaque. The inscription details the history and restoration of the "අටවිසි මුනි මහසෑය" (Atavisi Muni Mahasaeya), a Buddhist monument. It notes that the stupa was originally constructed around 1921 CE, under the guidance of the Most Venerable Thalarambe Indasara Mahimi. The plaque records its restoration, which was organized by the Tripitakavedi Venerable Kamburugamuve Gunaratana Himiyan, with the patronage of individuals such as Deshabandu A.M. Munasinghe (Chairman of Colombo Nilanka Land Sales) and L.H. Chandrasekara (Director of Kandy Rajaveediye Chandrasekara Company), along with other donors. The restored monument was officially opened by the Honorable Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, Ranil Wickremesinghe, with the participation of monks and lay dignitaries led by the Most Venerable Madihe Siri Pannasiha Mahanayaka Thero. The opening took place on the 27th day of the month of Novem (February) in Buddhist Era 2538, corresponding to 1994 CE. The plaque serves as a historical record commemorating these events.
