Four turtles are positioned on a dry, granular dirt bank adjacent to a body of water in General Todorov, Bulgaria. The leftmost turtle is heavily encrusted with mud or algae on its shell and head, facing slightly right. Directly behind it, a smaller turtle is partially in the water, facing left. Further right, another turtle is partially submerged, facing away from the bank. The largest turtle in the foreground, on the far right, also shows some mud on its shell and has a distinct red stripe behind its eye, characteristic of a Red-eared Slider, and faces right. The bank is composed of light brown/greyish soil with scattered small stones. A small, dark, circular hole is visible in the dirt between the central and rightmost turtles. The water, possibly a pond or calm river, displays greenish-yellow reflections of overhead foliage and sky in its upper portion, transitioning to a clearer, darker hue closer to the bank where subsurface sediment is visible. Concentric ripples are present on the water's surface in the upper right. No human presence is observed. The scene is brightly lit, indicative of daylight.
