An outdoor archaeological display case stands near the Cerro Canceles archaeological site in Pereira, AMCO, Area Metropolitana Centro Occidente, Colombia
An outdoor archaeological display case stands near the Cerro Canceles archaeological site in Pereira, AMCO, Area Metropolitana Centro Occidente, Colombia. The structure, constructed with concrete or masonry, features bronze-colored metal frames enclosing four glass-paned doors. The right pair of doors is secured by a padlock. The top of the display case structure is overgrown with dense green grass and various weeds. Inside, the upper shelf exhibits multiple terracotta pottery fragments and vessels, including bowls and jars, alongside a folded reddish textile item. A prominent rectangular sign titled "CERRO CANCELES" with descriptive text is affixed to the interior surface of the upper right glass door. The middle shelf displays a collection of terracotta bowls, pots, and urns in various states of completeness and shades of brown and red, accompanied by a small, striped white and red object. The bottom shelf contains several flat, oval-shaped stones and smaller, irregular stone artifacts, all resting on a light-colored concrete or sandy surface. Green grass covers the ground directly in front of the display case at its base. No individuals are present in the scene.
