The scene depicts an interior view of a historic chemical laboratory or storage room

SofiaBulgaria

The scene depicts an interior view of a historic chemical laboratory or storage room. Two tall, light-colored wooden shelving units, one wider on the left and one narrower on the right, are filled with hundreds of clear glass reagent bottles. The shelves on both units are made of wood, with some featuring clear glass inserts. The glass bottles, primarily with ground glass stoppers, contain various chemical substances. Many bottles hold white crystalline powders, while others contain liquids in a spectrum of colors including clear, light green, dark blue, yellow, orange, red, and dark brown. Numerous bottles have handwritten labels in Bulgarian Cyrillic, identifying chemical formulas such as "BaCl2," "Na2CO3," "H2SO4," "K2Cr2O7," "FeCl3," and "NH4NO3," along with concentrations or numerical identifiers. Some bottles appear empty. The background wall consists of white rectangular ceramic tiles covering the lower section, while the upper wall is painted a plain cream or off-white color. A grey tiled countertop with a dark edge is partially visible in the bottom left corner, indicating a work surface. Several dark, circular fittings, possibly pipe outlets or valves, are present on the tiled wall. The scene is devoid of people, active processes, or interactions. This laboratory configuration is consistent with facilities found at the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy, Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski," located at 1 James Bourchier Blvd, 1164 Sofia, Bulgaria.
