A close-up photograph depicts a section of tree bark, located in Zav'yalovo, Russia. The bark, characterized by a gray-brown hue and visible texture, is extensively colonized by lichen. A prominent, central mass of bright yellow foliose lichen displays a ruffled, lobed morphology. Interspersed among and surrounding this yellow lichen are smaller, irregular patches of light gray to white crustose lichen. Minute clusters of reddish-orange biological growth are also observed within the yellow lichen. The background is out of focus, presenting a blurred expanse of light blue and white tones, indicative of an outdoor, potentially snowy or cold weather environment. No people or animals are present.
