A Golden Pheasant (Chrysolophus pictus) is perched on a gnarled wooden branch within an outdoor aviary enclosure. The bird is oriented with its back to the viewer, showcasing its vibrant plumage: a red upper back and neck, golden yellow lower back, and iridescent blue secondary wing feathers. Long, patterned brown and black tail feathers extend downwards, with red undertail coverts visible. Its yellowish feet are gripping the branch.
