This image depicts the lower section of a historic brick building facade, characteristic of a werfkelder (wharf cellar) entrance, located directly on a canal in Utrecht, Netherlands, likely along the Oudegracht. The weathered reddish-brown brick wall features three arched openings. Centrally positioned is a large arched entrance with a dark, paneled double door at the base, topped by a grid of multi-paned glass. This main opening is framed by a lighter-colored architrave. Flanking this entrance are two smaller, arched windows with light-colored frames and multi-paned glass; the left window shows an internal light source. Two dark vertical metal fixtures are embedded in the brickwork above the central entrance and the right window. Small, weathered concrete or stone protrusions are visible above both side windows. A stone foundation of large, irregular blocks forms the base of the wall at the water's edge. The still, dark surface of the canal reflects the building's features, showing inverted and slightly distorted images of the door and windows. No individuals or active subjects are present.
