This image displays a historic, cobbled passageway within Dalt Vila, the fortified upper town of Ibiza, Spain. The foreground is dominated by a pathway paved with irregular grey and beige cobblestones, interspersed with patches of green moss and grass. To the left, a formidable, high stone wall constructed from large, rough-hewn blocks of varying sizes and tones extends vertically and recedes into the background. A distinct section of naturally weathered, stratified rock emerges from the lower portion of this wall. Further along, an arched opening is partially visible within the wall's structure. A slim, black, vertical post-like object is positioned near the base of this wall. To the right, a stone building complex features a covered walkway or arcade defined by a series of five robust stone arches supported by square pillars, extending from the mid-ground towards the background. Beyond this, a central building facade, also constructed of stone, presents two large arches at ground level, separated by a central rectangular column. Above these arches, a single window with dark brown louvered shutters and a small, decorative wrought-iron balcony is centered, framed by ornate stone molding and capped with a classical triangular pediment. A terracotta-tiled roof section extends above this window. In the upper background, a smaller stone retaining wall supports an elevated terrace. This terrace is adorned with numerous terracotta plant pots containing various green plants and vines. Above the terrace, a white stucco building with a single brown-framed window is visible, topped by an antenna array against an overcast sky. The scene is devoid of people or animals.
