The scene displays four marine shells resting on a surface of fine-grained, light tan sand, consistent with a beach environment in Ha Long Ward, Vietnam. In the upper-left quadrant, a fragmented conch shell, approximately 5 cm in diameter, exhibits a light brown and off-white spiraled structure, partially embedded in the sand. Below and slightly right of the conch, a white, ribbed bivalve shell, roughly 6 cm in width, lies flat on the sand. To the right of the bivalve shell, two smaller gastropod shells are present. The upper-right gastropod shell, approximately 1.5 cm in diameter, features dark purple and white spiral banding. The lower-right gastropod shell, about 1 cm in diameter, displays lighter brown and white spiral banding. No individuals or active subjects are observed.
