The image displays the Shipka Monument, a tapering stone memorial tower situated on Shipka Pass, near Shipka, Bulgaria, under dense fog and snow. The monument is constructed from rough-hewn, multi-toned grey and brown stone blocks. At its base, a dark, grid-patterned metal door serves as an entrance, partially covered by accumulated snow. A small black waste receptacle stands to the right of the door. An arched recess is integrated into the stonework above the entrance. Higher on the tower, a prominent inscription in Cyrillic letters reads "СТАРА ЗАГОРА" (Stara Zagora), carved into a lighter horizontal stone band. A small wooden cross is affixed to a ledge just to the right of this inscription. Further up, an arched opening and several smaller rectangular apertures are visible. The uppermost section of the monument, which exhibits crenellated features, is significantly obscured by the thick fog. Snow covers the ground around the monument's base and rests on various ledges. A metal railing, partially encrusted with snow and ice, is present in the immediate foreground. No individuals are depicted.
