SofiaBulgaria

This image depicts an empty underground metro station platform in Sofia, Bulgaria, specifically the Han Kubrat station. The viewpoint is from one platform, looking across two sets of tracks to the opposing platform and station wall. The foreground shows a grey tiled platform floor with a white safety line delineating the edge. Immediately behind the safety line, a black and white pictogram indicates a figure exiting a train, positioned above a segment of red tactile paving. Two metro tracks are visible, running horizontally, with concrete sleepers and ballast between them. A third rail or service conduit runs parallel to the tracks. The opposing platform, partially obscured, has a dark red or brown edge. The station wall above it is tiled in light green or grey square tiles, adorned with a prominent horizontal yellow beam running across its upper section. The station name, "ХАН КУБРАТ" (Cyrillic) and "HAN KUBRAT" (Latin), is displayed in large red capital letters centrally on this wall. To the left and right of the station name, two framed rectangular maps are mounted. Below the station name, a small square emergency box with a red door is affixed to the wall. Further left and right along the wall, two light-colored metal benches are positioned. The ceiling structure above the opposing platform consists of a series of curved, light-colored panels with recessed lighting fixtures embedded in the flatter sections between them. No individuals or active subjects are present in the scene; the station appears vacant.
