The image captures a clear winter day at the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War complex, located on the Pechersk Hills in Kyiv, Ukraine. A very tall, slender silver flagpole, topped with a golden Tryzub (Ukrainian trident) finial, stands prominently in the upper left quadrant. From this flagpole, a large Ukrainian national flag, with its upper blue and lower yellow horizontal bands, is fully unfurled and ripples to the left against an uninterrupted, brilliant azure sky.

In the lower third of the image, a dark, multi-figure bronze sculptural group is visible. This group consists of approximately six figures, depicted in what appear to be military or worker uniforms, with one figure raising an arm. Behind and slightly above these figures, a horizontal arrangement of dark, cylindrical structures, resembling rocket launchers, is integrated into the monument. The sculpture is situated on a multi-tiered concrete base, which features angular, geometric patterns. The ground surrounding the monument, as well as the horizontal surfaces of the concrete structures, are uniformly covered in a layer of white snow. In the immediate foreground, a snowy pathway or cleared area is visible. To the right, additional concrete architectural elements, some with mounted equipment (possibly cameras or lights), are partially covered in snow.
