The image shows a section of a large ancient Roman mosaic displayed on a white background. The mosaic is partially damaged, with the bottom right portion missing and the remaining sections exhibiting a geometric pattern interspersed with stylized depictions of animals and Latin inscriptions.

In the top left of the mosaic, the inscription "MAL EVASERVSTE PL" is visible within a rectangular frame. To its right, another inscription reads "BINVS ECPL".

Further down, to the left of the central geometric patterns, a small, stylized image of a bird or possibly a rooster, rendered in red, blue, and gray tesserae, is depicted. To the right of this bird, and extending into the missing section, is a larger, fragmented depiction of what appears to be a lion or a similar feline creature, predominantly in shades of gray and black.

The mosaic is composed of small, uniformly shaped tesserae. The geometric design features interlocking hexagonal shapes and oval elements filled with reddish-brown, yellow, and gray tesserae, outlined by black and gray borders.

The mosaic is displayed in a museum setting, as suggested by the presence of museum display structures in the background, including dark vertical supports and what appears to be a wooden table or platform. A person wearing blue jeans is partially visible in the upper background, standing behind the display. The floor visible in the background appears to be dark.

This mosaic is part of the collection at the National Museum in Belgrade, Serbia, and is believed to be from the Roman settlement of Viminacium.
