The image depicts the Plovdiv Rowing Canal (Grebna Baza) in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, during either sunrise or sunset. The scene is dominated by a large body of water in the foreground, characterized by small ripples across its surface. A bright, circular orange sun is positioned low in the sky, slightly to the left of the image's vertical center, directly above a dense, dark silhouette of leafless deciduous trees forming the far bank of the canal. The sun casts a strong, shimmering reflection that forms a vertical column of light on the water's surface, extending towards the foreground. The sky above the horizon exhibits a gradient from a warm orange hue, particularly vibrant near the sun, transitioning to a light blue towards the top. Two white aircraft contrails are visible: one long, horizontal streak traversing the upper-mid sky from left to right, and a fainter, shorter contrail angled diagonally from the lower-left towards the upper-left. A green lens flare, surrounded by a subtle orange glow, is present in the upper-right quadrant. On the water's surface, numerous small, dark, circular objects are scattered, consistent with buoys or debris. Several dark avian silhouettes, identified as birds, are visible; some appear to be floating, while at least one is captured in flight over the water, moving horizontally from left to right in the mid-left portion of the canal. In the lower-left foreground, three dark, L-shaped structures, possibly mooring posts or parts of a dock, emerge vertically from the water.
