The image shows a section of an old, partially collapsed stone and brick wall overgrown with vegetation. The wall is constructed from rough-hewn stones of varying sizes and shades of gray and brown, interspersed with sections of weathered, reddish-brown bricks laid in a staggered pattern. In the upper left portion of the wall, a white, curved pipe or conduit is visible, partially embedded in the stonework. Lush green foliage, including tall, reedy plants and leafy branches, spills over the top and sides of the wall, obscuring much of the structure. Sunlight illuminates the scene from the right, casting long shadows and highlighting the textures of the stone, brick, and leaves. The ground in front of the wall is covered with dry grass, loose stones, and some greener, more delicate weeds. This scene is located in the historic district of São Domingos in Niterói, Brazil, near the ruins of the Forte do Gragoatá.
