A large, black, adult beetle, likely a female stag beetle, rests on the open palm of a human hand in the city of Ustyvytsia, Ukraine. The beetle exhibits a smooth, glossy black exoskeleton covering its robust body. Distinct yellow-orange bands are visible on its pronotum and at the base of the elytra. Its head features relatively small, pincer-like mandibles with yellowish tips and short, clubbed antennae. Six segmented legs, dark in color, are equipped with visible spines on the tibiae and sharp claws at the tarsi, gripping the skin surface. A translucent, amber-colored hindwing is partially unfurled and protrudes from beneath the left elytron at the posterior end of the beetle's body. The human hand, appearing light-toned, displays visible skin texture, creases, and fingerprint patterns on the palm and fingers. The background is severely out of focus, presenting a blurred, textured, light grayish-green surface, possibly a wall. Illumination appears to be from an overhead or frontal source.
