This image depicts a coastal scene near Skala, Greece. The environment consists of a clear, bright blue sky with a faint wisp of cloud on the far left. Below the sky, a steep, densely vegetated hillside with green evergreen trees descends from the top of the frame. Beneath the hillside, rugged cliffs form the coastline, displaying varied geological strata and colors, ranging from light gray on the left to reddish-orange on the right. The cliffs feature visible crevices, ledges with sparse vegetation, and at least one cave-like opening in the reddish-orange section. At the base of the cliffs, a narrow pebble beach with light-colored stones (white, gray, reddish) forms a crescent curve along the shore. The water adjacent to the beach is clear, exhibiting turquoise and deeper blue tones, with minimal surface disturbance. In the foreground on the right, a steep, dry, light brown and tan rocky slope, covered with loose scree, dominates the bottom portion of the frame. A small, dark-branched evergreen tree grows from this slope, extending towards the water. Two human figures are present on the pebble beach. One individual, dressed in dark clothing, is visible walking or standing in the central section of the beach. A second, lighter-colored figure appears to be lying on the beach further to the right, near the base of the cliffs. Scattered rocks and boulders are visible both on the beach and in the shallow water.
