In the city of Rido, Nigeria, a daylight photograph depicts a rudimentary animal enclosure. A roughly textured, light-colored wall with a rectangular opening, approximately 0.75 meters wide by 0.6 meters high, leads into a dark interior. Directly below this opening, a dilapidated, dark reddish-brown metal gate, constructed of vertical bars and a lower sheet metal panel, is visible. The gate shows significant paint peeling and rust. Several large, irregular, light-colored stones are stacked against the lower portion of the gate and the adjacent wall, forming a barrier. Through the bars of the metal gate, inside the dark enclosure, at least three domestic pigs are present. One pig, predominantly white with black markings on its head and back, is lying on its left side on the damp or muddy floor, facing left. Another pig, primarily pinkish-white, is partially visible behind the first, also resting. A third, similarly colored pig is discernible deeper within the enclosure. The pigs appear to be resting within their pen. Sunlight illuminates the exterior wall and the stacked stones, casting distinct shadows on the ground and portions of the gate. The ground immediately in front of the gate consists of loose dirt or soil.
