The image presents a detailed, low-angle view of the Baroque facade of the Church of Saint Nicholas (Kostel svatého Mikuláše), situated in Malá Strana, Prague, Czechia. The facade is constructed from light-colored stone or stucco, characterized by a complex arrangement of convex and concave architectural elements, pilasters, and cornices across several tiers. At the lowest visible point, a large arched window with dark, patterned grilles is partially open on its right side. Directly above this window, a prominent sculpted cartouche displays a crowned crest surrounded by intricate foliage. Below the crest, a rectangular gold plaque contains the Latin inscription: "S. CAROLUS LIECHTENSTEINSKY SAC ROM IMP COMES O KOLOWRAT." To the left of this central feature, multiple fluted Corinthian columns are visible, supporting an elaborate entablature. The central tier of the facade features a large, arched window with a diamond-patterned grille. On a ledge adjacent to this window, two statues are positioned: the left figure holds a book or scroll, while the right figure holds a staff with a cross. Further left, two additional statues, possibly depicting bishops, stand on a lower cornice, each holding a crozier or staff with a cross. The uppermost section of the facade culminates in a central, highly ornate architectural element. At its apex, a golden cross is visible. Beneath the cross, a prominent golden "IHS" Christogram, enclosed within a sunburst design, is displayed. A smaller statue is centrally located below the IHS monogram. The facade's upper curves and edges are adorned with additional decorative statues and golden finials. The sky above the structure is partly cloudy, displaying blue areas interspersed with white clouds. A single white contrail from an aircraft is visible in the upper left quadrant of the sky. The facade is illuminated by ambient daylight.
