VarnaBulgaria

The image displays the monument to Anton Novak (1860-1945) situated within the Sea Garden (Morska Gradina) in Varna, Bulgaria. The monument comprises a large, reddish-brown, rough-textured stone pedestal. Affixed to the upper section of the pedestal is a dark metal relief bust of a man, below which the inscription "АНТОН НОВАК" and the dates "1860-1945" are presented in gold lettering. Crowning the pedestal is an abstract, dark bronze or patinated metal sculpture featuring upward-sweeping, organic, leaf-like forms, some exhibiting green verdigris. The monument is centered on a small, raised area defined by a border of low-lying evergreen shrubs. The immediate foreground consists of sparse grass and patches of dark soil from which small green shoots are emerging. To the left of the monument, a paved pathway is visible, curving gently into the background. To the right, further back, a rectangular, ground-level basin with a distinct light blue rim is present, set within a grassy area. The overall background is dominated by numerous deciduous trees with bare branches, indicative of late winter or early spring, beneath an overcast sky. No individuals are visible in the scene.
