The uppermost subject is a whole, ovoid nutmeg fruit, pale yellow-brown with faint brown speckling, exhibiting a single longitudinal dehiscence line and a short stem remnant at its base. Positioned below this, a second nutmeg fruit has naturally dehisced, presenting two cream-colored pericarp halves. Within these halves, two separate nutmeg seeds are visible. Each seed is encased by a vibrant red, deeply lobed aril (mace), which partially reveals the dark brown, ovoid testa of the seed beneath. The background consists primarily of dense, narrow blades of green grass, interspersed with a few broader, dark green leaves.
