This forensic image captures a close-up, overhead view of a severely degraded ground surface in Krupki, Belarus. The scene is devoid of any human presence, activity, or interaction. The surface is a composite of extensively cracked asphalt pavement and dark, granular soil. The asphalt pavement, which appears in various shades of grey, exhibits significant "alligator cracking" and fragmentation across its visible sections. Some areas of pavement are severely broken, with loose chunks and visible erosion. Sparse green vegetation, primarily consisting of individual grass shoots, emerges from cracks in the pavement and within the exposed soil areas. Patches of dried, light-colored organic debris, resembling straw or dead grass, are also scattered, particularly along the edges where the pavement meets the soil. A substantial, irregular patch of dark, loose soil, mixed with fine gravel and darker aggregates, occupies the central and lower-left portions of the frame. Within this prominent soil area, a single dark grey, irregularly shaped rock, approximately 10-15 cm in its longest dimension, is distinctly visible in the upper-central part of the patch. Below this rock, a distinct linear accumulation of small, light-colored gravel and darker particulate matter horizontally traverses the width of the main soil patch. Scattered smaller pebbles and unidentifiable debris fragments are dispersed throughout both the paved and unpaved sections of the ground. No artificial objects beyond the ground materials themselves are present.
