An upward view shows the prominent clock tower of the Cathedral of Maracay, Venezuela, against a clear blue sky

MaracayVenezuela

An upward view shows the prominent clock tower of the Cathedral of Maracay, Venezuela, against a clear blue sky. The tower is constructed from light yellow (cream) masonry with distinct white architectural trim, including cornices and pilasters. The top is crowned with a multi-tiered dome, painted blue and silver, from which a slender spire extends skyward. Two circular clock faces are visible on the upper tower section; the left face is dark blue with light-colored markings, and the right face is lighter blue-grey with orange hands. Below the clocks, two arched belfry openings are visible, each containing dark bells and fronted by black metal railings. The lower visible portion of the tower features square, recessed apertures. To the left, a portion of an adjacent building structure, also cream-colored with white trim, is visible, partially obscured by lush green foliage from a deciduous tree in the foreground. No people or interactions are visible. The scene is brightly lit under sunny conditions.
