The scene depicts the fire-damaged interior corner of a structure in Nedryhailiv, Ukraine. The two visible walls are constructed of red brick, partially covered by deteriorated, cracked, and peeling light-colored stucco or plaster, exposing the underlying brickwork. The top edges of the walls are irregular, indicating the absence of a roof. A single metal rod protrudes vertically from the top of the corner joint. The ground within the corner is covered by a dense layer of black, charred debris, consistent with burnt organic materials.
