An ornate, fan-shaped wall decoration crafted from dried straw is displayed on a pale green wall in Vanadzor, Armenia
An ornate, fan-shaped wall decoration crafted from dried straw is displayed on a pale green wall in Vanadzor, Armenia. The decoration features intricate weaving techniques forming a tiered, semi-circular pattern that radiates outwards from a central element resembling a doll or angel. This central figure is formed from straw tubes, with a small, cylindrical base topped by a textured cap, and is bound by a white string. To the right of the central figure, a decorative element made of dried brown leaves and a straw rose adds further texture. The straw decoration is attached to the wall by a thin white string tied to a small nail or hook above it. The wall exhibits signs of age with some paint wear and faint, almost illegible writing visible in places. A white, ornate molding runs along the top of the wall where it meets the ceiling. The lighting casts shadows on the wall, suggesting it is an indoor scene.
