The animal wears a reddish-brown collar and is attached to a dark-colored leash extending to the right, out of frame. The ground is covered by deep, uneven snowdrifts. Directly behind the dog, a bare deciduous tree with multiple trunks stands in front of a multi-story residential building. The building's facade is light-colored, textured with numerous small, dark, embedded pebbles, and features at least two white-framed windows with dark reflective panes and visible interior curtains.
