Strong shadows are cast across the paved ground, originating from an apparent light source (the sun) positioned to the viewer's left. These shadows include the silhouette of a person in the lower center, depicted with one arm raised, holding an object consistent with a camera or phone. To the left of the person's shadow, the distinct striped shadow of a slatted chair back and its legs is visible. Additional linear shadows traverse the paved area diagonally. A small, light-colored object with a visible wooden edge, possibly part of furniture such as a table or a railing, is present in the extreme bottom right corner of the frame. Minimal leaf debris is scattered on the ground.
