The scene depicts a vast, snow-covered landscape within the Arkhangel'skoe Estate in Arkhangel'skoe, Russia, under an overcast sky. In the immediate foreground, a broad expanse of undisturbed snow covers a flat field or lawn, bordered by dark, trimmed hedges. Two prominent objects emerge from the snow in the foreground: a light-colored, glass-paneled kiosk with a pyramidal roof on the left, and a darker, cubic, wooden-appearing structure on the right.
