A large cluster of translucent frog spawn, containing numerous dark, spherical embryos, is partially submerged in shallow, murky water with a sandy or muddy bottom. The gelatinous egg mass, composed of interconnected spheres, occupies the majority of the frame. A dry, light-brown stick or blade of grass lies diagonally across the center of the egg cluster. Sparse green blades of grass are visible in the immediate foreground, protruding from the water. The scene is illuminated by natural light, casting subtle shadows.
