The image shows an upward angle view of the exteriors of two buildings in Jouars-Pontchartrain, France, under an overcast sky. The building in the foreground has a textured, light tan facade with a cream-colored decorative molding along the top edge. On this building, a window with pale blue shutters is visible, as well as a black gas lamp post positioned in front of the wall. To the right of the shutters, there is decorative vertical stone molding. The roof of this building is tiled with dark red, weathered tiles and features a skylight. Behind the foreground building, and slightly to the right, a second building with a similar light tan facade is partially visible. This building also has a tiled roof, appearing darker and more weathered than the first. Prominently featured on both buildings are brick chimneys. The foreground building has a tall, rectangular brick chimney with two metal chimney caps. The chimney on the second building is also made of red brick and has a decorative concrete cap. The overall impression is of older European architecture.
