A white rectangular sign with black text is mounted on a peach-colored wall. The sign contains an information panel about the Shipibo people, an indigenous group of the Amazon. The text continues: "The Shipibo people, one of the most numerous in the Amazon region, live along the Ucayali River and its tributaries. Shipibo art is known for its trademark geometric patterns representing elements like rivers, the sky, the cardinal points, and the solstices. Like most Amazon peoples, the Shipibo consider themselves part of the natural order. Their vision of the world (within and beyond sensual perception) is the result of knowledge transmitted across generations." The sign is located at the Museo de la Nación in Lima, Peru, at latitude: -12.049, longitude: -77.03.
