The image displays a wide view of the Bosphorus Strait in Istanbul, Turkey, looking towards the European shoreline under a partly cloudy blue sky. The upper approximately two-thirds of the frame consists of a vibrant blue sky sparsely populated with scattered white cumulus clouds of varying sizes and densities. Several birds are airborne within the sky, with at least two clearly discernible large birds in flight in the upper left quadrant and one in the upper middle, alongside multiple smaller, indistinct avian forms. The lower third of the frame is dominated by the dark blue, choppy waters of the Bosphorus, exhibiting numerous small waves and whitecaps indicative of surface agitation. Along the middle-ground, the European coastline stretches horizontally across the image. On the far left, a large, ornate, light-colored architectural complex identified as Dolmabahçe Palace is prominently visible, featuring multiple wings, arched windows, and classical facade elements along the waterfront. This palace is located in Istanbul's Beşiktaş district. Beyoğlu is an adjacent district to Beşiktaş, situated to the south-west along the Bosphorus Strait. Further along the coastline towards the right, the shore features a mix of urban structures, vegetation, and what appear to be docks or marinas. Several vessels, including what seem to be small ferries or private boats, are visible on the water near the distant shore. In the far distance, a large suspension bridge, the 15 July Martyrs Bridge (Bosphorus Bridge), spans the strait, marked by two prominent white pylons. Beyond the bridge, a distant urban skyline is visible against the horizon. In the mid-right section of the water, a dark, conical buoy with a white top is anchored. No individuals are discernibly visible in the scene.
