An artificially textured rock wall, painted to resemble ancient rock art, dominates the image

AMCO, Area Metropolitana Centro OccidenteColombia

An artificially textured rock wall, painted to resemble ancient rock art, dominates the image. This installation is located in AMCO, Area Metropolitana Centro Occidente, Colombia. The wall is covered with numerous pictographs in red, reddish-brown, black, white, and gold pigments, depicting various scenes and symbols. The upper portion displays celestial patterns, including scattered white dots and black five-pointed stars connected by red dashed lines, forming constellation-like arrangements. A large, red, stylized sun symbol is partially visible in the top-left. The middle section on the left features a group of reddish-brown anthropomorphic figures, many in dynamic poses suggesting running or hunting, wielding spears and bows. They are depicted alongside several reddish-brown quadrupedal animals resembling deer or bovines. On the middle-right, a group of solid red animal figures, including what appear to be lions and elephants, are depicted alongside red human-like figures. A distinct reddish-brown canid figure with a gold collar is seated prominently on the far right. The lower section of the wall contains additional reddish-brown human-like figures, some holding implements, interspersed with black geometric symbols such as spirals, an hourglass shape, starbursts, and plant-like motifs. A smaller group of reddish-brown quadrupedal animals, possibly boars, is also visible. The base of the painted wall transitions into a reddish-brown, horizontal surface with a network of fine, irregular cracks, indicative of a concrete or synthetic material, likely serving as a floor or bench within the exhibit.
