This image depicts a coastal scene in Essaouira, Morocco, under a clear, bright blue sky. The top third of the frame is dominated by the unobstructed sky, with two small, light-colored specks, possibly birds, faintly visible at the upper center. The middle ground features a expanse of choppy, brownish-grey ocean water, churned by waves creating white foam, particularly around the numerous dark, jagged rock formations (skerries) that protrude from the water. In the mid-ground, a large, dark, irregular rock mass is partially submerged in the water on the left side, with white foam from breaking waves around its base. Slightly to its right and closer to the foreground, a white bird, likely a seagull, is captured mid-flight, wings extended, just above the water's surface. Further right, another smaller, dark rock formation is visible, topped with green growth, upon which a second white bird (seagull) is perched. Several other dark rock formations are scattered further out into the ocean towards the hazy horizon line. The immediate foreground consists of a rugged, light tan/brown rocky shoreline.
