In Iju, Nigeria, a collection of large, terracotta-colored planters are arranged outdoors. Dominating the scene are several Norfolk Island pines, their distinctive layered branches and dark green, needle-like foliage creating a dense canopy. The pines are in various stages of growth, with some appearing more mature and others smaller and more delicate. Beneath the pines, in two of the foreground planters, are specimens of cactus. One cactus, tall and columnar, is covered in sharp, white spines. Another cactus, also spiny, is visible to its right. Small green plants and weeds grow amongst the soil in all the planters. In the background, a large, off-white structure, possibly a greenhouse or temporary shelter, is visible, its surface textured and slightly translucent. The ground surrounding the planters is covered in green foliage and loose soil, suggesting an outdoor nursery or garden setting. The overall atmosphere is one of growth and cultivation, with the diverse plant life thriving under an overcast sky.
