This image depicts a wide view of a severely damaged urban area in Khan Yunis, Palestinian Territory, under a partially cloudy blue sky. In the foreground on the right, the damaged exterior wall of a building, colored a pale yellow-tan, shows exposed rebar and concrete, partially framed by a dark, possibly metal, decorative railing. The midground is dominated by a street and extensive rubble. A white mosque, largely intact with a prominent minaret and dome, stands amidst surrounding structures that are heavily damaged or partially collapsed. Large piles of concrete debris, twisted metal, and shattered building materials cover the ground between the street and the ruined buildings. On the street, multiple individuals and groups are visible. In the lower left, a group of approximately five young males walks away from the viewer. Further down the street, closer to the center, other individuals and small groups move. On the right side of the street, a makeshift stall with a white canopy is set up, beside which a dark-colored animal, possibly a cow or donkey, stands. Beyond this, a larger concentration of people can be seen walking in the distance along the street. The street surface appears to be a mix of asphalt and dirt. A thin, dark cable stretches horizontally across the upper midground of the sky, connecting unseen structures. Buildings in the far background appear less damaged but are partially obscured by distance and atmospheric haze.
