The image displays the Art Deco facade of the Metro Theater, located at 2626 Broadway, near 99th Street, in Manhattan, New York City, United States of America. The upper portion of the facade features a stepped parapet constructed with alternating dark grey/black and light pink/beige rectangular panels, delineated by thin dark vertical stripes and a wavy pink horizontal band. A metallic finial structure, composed of vertical fins, crowns the central axis at the building's apex. A large circular medallion, framed by a thick dark ring, is centrally mounted below the parapet. This medallion contains a bas-relief sculpture featuring two stylized, intertwined nude figures. The left figure, appearing male with a darker skin tone, holds a blue-grey tragic mask displaying a distressed expression. The right figure, appearing female with a lighter skin tone, holds a grey-green comic mask with a smiling expression. The background within the medallion is a textured purple pattern with a gold-colored decorative band along its lower edge.
