In the foreground, an open drainage ditch, approximately 1.5 meters wide, runs parallel to a concrete curb on its right. The ditch is heavily polluted with stagnant, dark green water and a dense accumulation of refuse, including numerous plastic bottles (clear, brown), plastic bags (red, green, white), pieces of fabric, discarded footwear, and various unidentifiable debris. Clumps of tall green reeds grow from the water and along the left earthen bank of the ditch. Other people are congregated near small, makeshift market stalls or shops constructed from corrugated metal and timber. Behind these stalls, a row of single-story stone or concrete block buildings with corrugated metal roofs extends into the background. Overhead utility lines and wooden poles are visible against the cloudy sky.
